Full-day discovery of steam traction, in immersion with the driving crew!


Description of the day
¤ From 7h to 10h30: Preparation & firing up of the steam locomotive at Saint Valéry-Canal depot
¤ From10h30 to 11h00: Preparation of the train, coupling on of the locomotive and safety tests
¤ From 11h00 to 12h00: First train – Experience a steam locomotive out on the line and its technical aspects
¤ From 12h00 to 14h00: Lunch break with the driving crew
¤ From 14h00 to 14h30: Work resumes, preparation of the train, coupling on of the locomotive and safety tests
¤ From 14h30 to 18h30: take part in operating the service trains of the "Sea Bathers’ Railway"
¤ From 18h30 to 19h00: Putting away the locomotive (1)

Equipment required
A 100% cotton and fire-resistant set of overalls, safety boots
Pair of gloves supplied by the railway

(1) Depending on your own schedule constraints, you can end your day earlier when the train runs through St Valery


Dates & Times
April to November: every day
Except the following weekends: Easter, 1st May, 8th May, 14th May, Ascension, Whitsun, 14th July and 15th August

from 7h00 to 19h00

Tariffs (this tariff includes a boxed lunch)
- Adult (over 18 ans):150 € 

For spouse and accompanying children: one free return journey per person.
