Welcome to the Chemin de Fer de la Baie de Somme

Recalling the atmosphere of the 'Belle Epoque', come and discover the delights of the Baie de Somme on board one of our authentic trains of yesteryear.

In the north of France on the Picardy coast, ride on a steam train around one of the most beautiful bays in the world, preserved in its wild state. Among marshes, salt marshes, willows and reeds, beside the sea and alongside the Baie de Somme, bring the family, or come with friends or in a group like so many travellers on the sea-bathers' railway since 1887.

There's not a minute to lose! All aboard for a journey through time!

Cinema & Photo

The Chemin de Fer de la Baie de Somme and its authentic infrastructure readily relates to Art. The Association can provide special trains for making feature films, documentaries, television broadcasts... whether the train is a principal subject or whether it is in the background. The collection of rolling stock owned by the CFBS covers the period from 1870 to around 1960. At the same time, the architecture of most of the railway buildings dates from 1880 or from work carried out in the 1930s.
